If you have a MyEBSCO account in either our Advanced Search or the EBSCOhost Research Databases then you should check and migrate, or back up any content before August 2025 to make sure you are still able to access it in all of the new interfaces. After August 2025 some content will migrate automatically, other content you may need to actively move over yourself.

What will happen automatically?

You should be logged into MyEBSCO using your University of Lincoln single sign on details. However, if you have previously used a personal email address or had multiple accounts you may need to merge your accounts first.

Saved Searches from "My Folder" and anything saved in "Articles", "Images", "Videos", "eBooks" will then automatically appear in "My Dashboard" in the new interfaces. There may be a time delay of up to two weeks for these to appear from when you first login, especially if you have a large number of results.

What do I need to do?

If you have any custom folders, search alerts, journal alerts, or persistent links to searches you will need to actively migrate this content.

Custom Folders

Any custom folders will not automatically be migrated to the new interface. You will need to actively move them over.

You can download your MyEBSCO "My Custom" folders in the existing site(s) to "Projects" in the new interfaces.

Search Alerts

Any "Search Alerts" will not automatically be migrated to the new interface.

You will need to recreate any saved search alerts in the new interface:

Persistent Links to Searches

The "Persistent Links to Searches" folder will not be migrated to the new interface.

Where can I get help?
