When you upload a file to Talis Engage for an item that has a DOI or ISBN (i.e. an article or chapter), the request has to comply with our copyright licence. Checks are carried out on the request to ensure it is allowed under our licence. You may see the following notices on the reading list items. These notices are not visible to students.

COPYRIGHT REVIEW PENDING

This means that the requested item has been referred to Library staff, who will review the request for copyright compliance. If there are any issues with the request someone from the Library will be in contact.

COPYRIGHT REVIEW REJECTED

This means that the requested item is not covered by our copyright licence and has been rejected. If you think this is a mistake or your require more information on the rejection please contact the Content and Collections Team.
