If you are getting an Upload not allowed error message it is possible that there is already an online resource attached to the reading list item. If the list item has the View Online button active you will not be able to upload a document directly to Engage straight away. There are 2 options to consider if you want to use a resource in Engage.

Option 1 - Manually add a new bookmark for the same item and upload your document to Engage from the new item

  1. Hover over the line where you want to add the item and click Add Resource

  1. At the bottom of the window click Create Manually

  1. Enter the details of the item and click Create & Add to List

  1. Select the List you want to add it to and fill in any other required fields > Click OK
  2. Back on the reading list, click on the 3 dots menu on the right-hand side of the item and select Upload file
    • It may take a couple of minutes for the item to appear on the list and you may need to reload the page

Option 2 - Edit the existing bookmark and de-select the Online Resource tick box
