You can export up to 25,000 search results from the Advanced Search to RefWorks by following the steps below.

  1. Login to your MyEBSCO account, if not already logged in
  2. Click the drop-down arrow at the top of the results list and click the Export results (Up to 25,000) link

  1. Enter your E-mail address and select the RIS export format from the options

    • Note: You can also add email addresses for Additional recipients to receive the link to download the export file

  1. Click Send. You should now receive an email from EBSCO with a download link. This link only will be available for 7 days, after which it will not longer work
    • Note: large files may take a while to arrive
  2. Once you have received the email, click on the link to download the file
  3. Login to RefWorks
  4. From the top menu click on Add and select Other file types from the Import references from section

  1. Drag and drop your file into the space provided or click the select a file from your computer link and find the file you downloaded

  1. On the next screen, under the This file will be imported as heading, select RIS Format from the drop down list

  1. Click Import
  2. You can now decide whether to assign the imported records into a folder by selected a folder from the list or creating a new one

  1. Click Import. The references should now be imported 
    • Note: larger files may take a while to import
