Some eBooks have a limit on the number of users that can access the title at any one time. Please see the details below for what happens on the different eBook platforms.


The VLeBooks platform allows users to reserve titles. If all the copies of the eBook are in use, a pop-up message will appear when you click on the Read Online or Download buttons.

If you want to reserve the title, enter your email address if not already there, and click Reserve. You will receive an email when the eBook is available and you will then have 6 hours to collect the reservation from the My Reservations bookshelf within the VLeBooks platform.

EBook Central

You cannot reserve titles on the EBook Central platform, however a message is displayed on the item record to let you know that all copies of the title are in use and that you will need to come back later to access the title.
