How do I install it on my own computer?

  1. Go to FileOpen Client Installers homepage and select the correct link for your operating system
  2. Open the installer and follow the instructions
  3. Once installed, you should be able to open the PDFs, however you may need to re-download the document

How do I install it on a University computer?

You will need to be on campus in order to install this plugin on a corporate laptop.

  1. From the start menu, search for the Software Centre
  2. Click on the app to open it
  3. Click on Applications on the left-hand side of the window
  4. Locate the FileOpen Client (x64) B996 and double-click on the icon to open it
  5. Click Install. The install should only take around 5 minutes and you may need to restart the computer to confirm the installation
  6. Once installed, you should be able to open the PDFs, however you may need to re-download the document

Please note: PDFs will not open in-browser. Some browsers will open PDFs in-browser as default behaviour. This will cause an error - you will need to open the document Adobe Reader
