It's not possible to access content in Box of Broadcasts (BoB) outside the UK, even when using a VPN or the University Cloud Desktop. The licence terms and conditions prevent this and the service uses geolocation software to block access from non-UK IP addresses.

What if I am based in the UK?

There are no restrictions on accessing BoB from a UK registered IP address. If you are in the UK and are blocked from accessing BoB because it detects you are based overseas, then this may be due to a misconfiguration of your IP details. Check your IP address details and contact your internet service provider if the location details look wrong. This advice from the BBC, which has similar restrictions, offers a few tips on resolving this issue.

If you experience any other issues when accessing BoB please contact us.
