During times of hot weather we are aware that certain parts of the Library may be uncomfortable. Please note that:

  • The temperature in the Library is controlled centrally and only Estates staff can adjust it. This is why users’ requests sometimes might take a while to be implemented, especially at weekends or in the evenings when the Library is open, but the Estates offices are closed.
  • Students are welcome to open or close windows as they see fit
  • Wearing layers may help
  • There is a water fountain on the ground floor of the Library – stay hydrated
