Having consulted with the Students' Union, UCU and Unison, the Senior Management Team has determined that the use of e-cigarettes should be subjected to the same restrictions as tobacco smoking. This is a similar practical approach to that taken in many other organisations. Staff and students will note signage being updated to reflect this policy (first published 13/11/14).
Therefore, the Library now has a blanket ban on both tobacco and e-cigarettes. Thank you for your co-operation.
